School Bookkeeper 225‑day position
Salary: $24,981 base salary (based on verified full‑time experience and education)
Location: J. L. Cain Elementary School

Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bookkeeping knowledge required – prior bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong data entry and computer skills required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsible To: Principal
Job GoalTo ensure accurate and timely financial reporting related to all school accounts, effective maintenance of records and reports and general office duties necessary for the efficient operation of the school office.
Performance Responsibilities- Receipts and deposits all school monies
- Maintains financial records for all activity accounts
- Keeps an inventory of all supplies
- Issues purchase orders for all budgeted and fee accounts
- Assists with processing leave requests
- Manages student insurance
- Completes financial reports as necessary
- Reconciles invoices, bank statements, and reports
- Performs general office duties (i.e., answering the telephone, greeting visitors, distributing mail, copying, and maintaining office machines)
- Provides backup for the secretary and attendance secretary
- Perform other duties as assigned
