240‑day position. Salary: $78,313 base (Administrative Salary Schedule) adjusted according to verified administrative experience and degree level. Location: District / Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Available: 2026-2027. FLSA Status: Exempt. Reports to: Assistant Superintendent / Chief Academic Officer for Curriculum / Instruction and the Director of Elementary Education.

Job Goal To implement High Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) with fidelity in all elementary schools. Be an expert in mathematics instruction. Use data to drive decision‑making and support implementation of MTSS using evidence‑based practices for Tier I, II, and III. Plan, develop, implement and supervise the math and science instructional programs for grades K‑5 and provide staff development aligned to teacher needs and student achievement data.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree required
  • South Carolina Principal Certification preferred
  • Administrative or coaching experience preferred
  • ADEPT/STEP training preferred
  • Five years or more experience as a classroom teacher
  • Formal training in elementary education content and pedagogy

Special Requirements

  • Possess and maintain a SC Driver's License or ability to provide own transportation
  • Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings

Performance Responsibilities

  • Lead HQIM implementation in mathematics: implement and monitor high‑quality instructional materials in mathematics aligned to South Carolina's academic standards across all K‑5 schools.
  • Coach and support teachers: spend the majority of time modeling lessons, co‑teaching, leading PLCs, and providing instructional coaching using research‑based strategies and high‑leverage math practices.
  • Support MTSS framework and collaboration: guide implementation of a Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) by analyzing student data, supporting differentiated instruction, and coordinating intervention strategies with Special Education and Multilingual Learner teams.
  • Use data to inform instruction and acceleration: analyze benchmark, formative, and progress monitoring data to develop action plans that accelerate learning and improve instructional effectiveness across all tiers.
  • Ensure instructional alignment and pacing: support schools in aligning assessments and instructional pacing to HQIM expectations and ensuring materials are used effectively to meet student learning goals.
  • Lead professional learning: design and deliver high‑quality, research‑based professional development and collaborate with school‑based instructional coaches to strengthen teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to curriculum coherence and compliance: review and evaluate instructional materials using evidence‑based rubrics, contribute to district curriculum planning, and ensure alignment with state standards and district goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
