Teacher Assistant - Attendance Intervention
190-day position
Salary: $20,932 base salary (based on education and teacher assistant experience)
Location: Darlington Middle School
Available: 2026-2027 School Year
A negative TB test must be on file prior to starting work
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Qualifications
- Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education or an associate degree (or higher) OR
- High School Diploma or the equivalent AND Ready to Work Credentials
- WIN - Copy of WIN Assessment minimum of Level 3 certification or ParaPro - Copy of passing score (minimum 456) on ParaPro, the state approved academic assessment
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Responsible To: Principal
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide classroom teaching assistance
- Provide supervision of students at all times
- Maintain a positive classroom environment
- Provide students with daily care (e.g. toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.) as needed or required
- Adhere to district dress code policies
- Maintain required confidentiality in regard to students and school records
- Positively supports all facets of student growth and development
- Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

- Copy of qualifying credentials as listed above
- College Degree or Transcript showing sixty (60) or more credit hours OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND WIN or Parapro
For DCSD Employees: In addition to the application packet, a "Request to Interview for Transfer" form must be submitted for approval (available on the website, in the schools, and at Department of Human Resources).
