IT Support Apprenticeship Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the IT Team as needed to ensure efficient operation.
  2. Support desktop computers running Windows, iOS, & Chrome OS.
  3. Support college-owned mobile devices, including laptops, tablets, and phones.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of computer equipment and assist with installations.
  5. Become proficient in various IT systems and processes.
  6. Respond to support calls and emails regarding technical issues.
  7. Manage daily tasks to meet service levels and proactive maintenance goals.
  8. Analyze, diagnose, and resolve hardware issues onsite, including offsite repairs.
  9. Document equipment failures, repairs, and installations.
  10. Tag and audit IT equipment to prevent damage or theft.
  11. Provide technical support for college events.
  12. Support college policies, procedures, and quality assurance, including health & safety policies.
  13. Perform additional duties as required by the Principal and Chief Executive.

Qualifications: Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship Standard.

Location: Darlington College.

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8.30am – 5.00pm; Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm, with one day per week for college study.
