Darlington College is recruiting a full‑time Senior Lecturer in Computing. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced computing specialist with strong coding expertise to lead the implementation of Digital T Levels and deliver high‑quality teaching across our full‑time curriculum. With the Darlington STEM Centre opening in 2028, focused heavily on Digital and Computing, this role offers the chance to help shape content and lead provision from the very beginning of the concept stage. You will play a key role in developing an industry‑ready digital offer and inspiring the next generation of learners. As Senior Lecturer in Computing, you will:
- Take a lead role in the planning, coordination, and implementation of Digital T Levels within the Computing curriculum.
- Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning across a range of full‑time Computing programmes at Levels 2–5.
- Design engaging schemes of work, resources, and assessment materials aligned with industry requirements.
- Support curriculum development to ensure our programmes reflect current digital and computing sector needs.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to learners, helping them achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, awarding bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.
