The Admissions and Enquiries Assistant will be responsible for providing high levels of customer service and accurate information to all potential and existing customers of the College and to facilitate a fair and transparent, smooth and effective process of admission to College curriculum courses, from enquiry to enrolment. 2 Principle Accountabilities
- Provide high quality, friendly customer service via telephone, face-to-face, and online both whilst on Reception duty and within Student Services and effectively direct/signpost students and customers of the College to relevant services within the College.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive initial information to customers about curriculum courses and other College services. Ensure all visitors to the Student Services Centre are made to feel welcome and ensure their needs are met in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain effective links with curriculum and business support departments to ensure a high degree of understanding in relation to the curriculum offer and other services of the College.
- Follow fair and transparent processes for the admission of students to College courses in line with the College Admissions Policy.
- Use the student records system for admissions to support student enquiries and application, from acknowledgement through to enrolment, in a fair and transparent manner that is supportive of all enquiries.
- Actively promote the College, its courses, and other services to the general public at events such as On Course To College, open events, year 10 taster days for school , enrolment events, community promotional events, etc.
- Develop, update and maintain accurate course information in a variety of formats.
- Maintain a range of administrative systems and records relating to College customers.
- Use the computerised till and assist customers with payment.
- Work flexibly and undertake evening and weekend working where required, such as evening enrolments throughout the year as needed.
- Comply with all relevant college policies, procedures and quality assurance systems.
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as required.
