About the Role
As our new Prudential & Credit Risk Analyst, you’ll play a key part in our second line of defence, helping us maintain strong oversight of credit, prudential and climate risks. You’ll develop your knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk frameworks and analytical techniques, while contributing to meaningful work that helps ensure the safety and soundness of the Society. No two days will look the same, but you’ll get hands‑on experience with:
- Supporting the delivery of our credit, prudential and climate risk oversight plan
- Providing independent challenge and insight to strengthen first line risk practices
- Reviewing management information and identifying emerging risks
- Contributing to key regulatory submissions including ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan
- Becoming familiar with model risk, climate risk and wider regulatory expectations
Throughout, you’ll be supported by our Prudential & Credit Risk Manager and wider Risk & Compliance team, ensuring you learn at pace while contributing real value.

- Experience
- Familiarity with financial services
- Awareness of core concepts (capital, liquidity etc.)
- Awareness of key concepts (affordability, arrears etc.)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge
- Numerate degree for example a qualification in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or Maths or related industry experience
- Strong numerate academic background
- Analytical mindset with great attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong team player who is curious, proactive and willing to challenge
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
