Lifeline Services have been providing award-winning support to the residents of Darlington since 1989. The response team is based at our Town Hall, and the integral duties of a Lifeline Response Officer include the demonstration, installation, and monitoring of various technology alongside responding to emergency calls as necessary.

Our officers must be of a calm and caring nature and be able to think dynamically in a fast-paced, busy environment. You will need to be confident in the use of databases and Microsoft Office packages with a good understanding of GDPR to meet the administrative duties of the role. You should be approachable with a 'can do' attitude and possess valuable skills such as being encouraging, organised, flexible, and having the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately to a broad range of audiences.

It would be an advantage to have a strong background in a customer-facing role with experience of working with older and more vulnerable people.

The shifts we have available are as follows:

  • Monday 19:30pm - 06:00am (10 contracted hours)
  • Tuesday 19:30pm - 06:00am (10 contracted hours)
  • Wednesday 19:30pm - 06:00am (10 contracted hours)
  • Thursday 19:30pm - 06:00am (10 contracted hours)
  • Saturday 08:30 - 18:00 (contracted hours)
  • Sunday 08:30 - 18:00 (contracted hours)

The position would suit multiple applicants as we could look at splitting the hours/working pattern to suit the candidate. N.B: This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.
