Hours: 15 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday-Thursday, 4pm-7pm; Friday, 3:30pm-6:30pm

Job Description
Darlington Borough Council is looking for a reliable and hardworking Building Cleaner to help maintain clean, safe and hygienic council premises.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties, ensuring buildings and communal areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning duties across council buildings.
- Sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture and fixtures.
- Clean toilets, washrooms and communal areas.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely.
- Follow health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
- Good understanding of general cleaning and hygiene standards.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Able to work independently and manage daily cleaning tasks.
- Must be able to commit to the advertised working hours.
- Must be able to meet the required DBS check.
