Overview
Mileage and expenses to be paid by the family when on days out in the community.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Person centred support with daily activities
- Assisting with personal care, showering, dressing, and general care
- Lots of play time including water play activities and other messy play sensory activities
- Helping D relax at home and unwind
- Prompting and supporting eating with cutlery
Applicants must be:
- Female only, in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010
- Physically able to match D's pace
- Flexible

- Able to work well under pressure
- Have excellent communication skills

- Willing to learn and be trained on how best to support and work effectively with D and in her family home

Desirable Criteria
- An experienced driver with a full clean driving licence
- Have an understanding and experience of working with individuals with autism
- Have an understanding and experience of working with individuals with a learning disability
- Previous training in de-escalation
All successful applicants will undergo references and an enhanced criminal records bureau check.
Hours
There are no hours specified as this is a flexible role and would depend on what hours you would be able to offer. This can be further discussed at screening/interview stage. Examples of the hours would be:
- Before and after School
- Weekends
- Overnights
- Additional hours in the school holidays
- Holiday cover
Wage: £12.21 per hour
