Are you a caring person who wants to make a difference in a young person's life? We are currently seeking to recruit a Support Worker to join our amazing team. We are looking for a warm and supportive female who can deliver person-centred care & support to Annie, a bubbly, intelligent, sociable 20-year-old young lady who has physical disabilities. Annie has a full and varied life and is looking for someone with a great sense of fun.

Duties

  • Night shifts: You will be required to carry out personal care/showering, hoisting, dressing & staying overnight (bed available) to assist turning and making comfortable throughout the night as & when needed.
  • Day shifts: Supporting Annie to live her independent life, socialising, swimming, going to the cinema, eating out, shopping, walking her dog. Some light housework will be done throughout the week.

Requirements

  • Committed and reliable and happy to work on a one-to-one basis with Annie.
  • Must be female and a non-smoker.
  • Training in manual handling desirable but full training can be provided.

Compensation & Hours

  • Bank position approx. 10 hours per week on a zero-hour contract.
  • Wage: £12.21 per hour, £14.50 per hour weekend rate.
