A very active, lively, young 14-year-old person with a diagnosis of Autism and behavioural issues is looking for a Personal Assistant to support him to access the community in the actives that he enjoys.

Hours:12 hours a week (48 hours 4 weekly) to be used flexibly. The employer is flexible with times and dates that support can take place and will be discussed fully at interview.

Duties will include: This is a great opportunity for the right person to support this young person to access activities which will include Swimming, trampolining, going to the cinema, bowling, ice skating, going out for food etc. The successful applicant must be able to Maintain safety and promote independence, whilst offering and supporting to gain new skills and experiences.

Applicants must be: Trustworthy and Reliable. Patient and have clear communication skills. A Driver is essential with access to own vehicle along with the necessary car insurance for using their car in the course of work.

Previous experience of Autism is essential. There will be opportunities to access free training. Training and information particular to this role will be discussed at interview and provided by employer. All successful applicants will undergo references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Wage: £12.50 to start however this rate will be looked at following successful probationary period. Mileage will be paid direct from the employer.
