Description: A gentleman in the Loftus area is looking for 2-3 Personal Assistants to support on a Monday to Friday for 3 hours a day., Duties will include: Support around preparing weekly medication, receiving weekly food delivery, support with laundry, kitchen tasks, weekly cleaning of bathroom and kitchen. Changing bedding weekly and supporting the gentleman with making phone calls. Most of the role involves collaboration with the gentleman, as he struggles with some day-to-day activities and also some tasks he is not able to do when his carers are not present.
One applicant must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle as the support also includes taking the gentleman to the local swimming pool and to local NHS appointments or similar.
Training – will be given by the employer so that personal assistants can be clear on what support is needed. Experience of supporting a person who uses a wheelchair would be useful but not essential.
Applicants must be: Honest, trustworthy and reliable
Before a formal interview, applicants will be invited to meet the gentleman and get to understanding of the work involved.
All successful applicants will undergo references and an enhanced DBS check.
Hours – 15 hours a week to be split across successful applicants, times would be 10.30-13.30pm, however they can be some flexibility with this.
2-3 personal assistants needed as they would be expected to cover each other’s holidays and sickness.
Wage: £11.44
