Description: Are you the person who can make a difference to the life of a happy, loving 9-year-old who is full of fun and loves communicating? A family are looking to recruit a warm and supportive Personal Assistant to support their 9-year-old who has a learning disability and some speech difficulties.

Hours: Shifts: 12 hours per week during school holidays split over 4 days to include a Saturday, Sunday for 4 hours and 2 days during the week, although hours are flexible and can be discussed with the employer. 6 hours per week term time split over 2 days one to include a Saturday or Sunday for 4 hours and 2 hours after school.

Wage: £11.44 per hour

Duties to include: Support to go out in the community to things like soft play, swimming and the seaside. The young boy enjoys visiting farms as he loves animals and rides out in the car.

Essential criteria : Applicants must be kind, patient, trustworthy, energetic, reliable and can deliver person centred support. Also, a car driver with a clean licence who has access to their own vehicle.

Desirable: Some experience with disabled children would be preferred but not essential. Any training needs will be arranged by the employer.

All successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check and references.
