Imagine having to flee your home and family with only the clothes you’re wearing and arrive in an unfamiliar country where you don’t speak the language. That’s why our language team is so important. Could you lead our language team?   • Previous leadership experience
  • Experience of providing English language teaching
  • Organised and meets deadlines

  • Experience of leading volunteers or leadership in a 3rd sector environment
  • Experience of leadership in a teaching environment

Responsibilities

  • To contribute to the leadership direction of DAR, as a member of the Executive Team
  • To ensure language coaches deliver English teaching to enable Asylum Seekers to be able to communicate more effectively in English
  • To manage the English teaching and coaching process, ensuring the support provided meets DAR’s objectives, whilst enabling volunteers to feel rewarded and fulfilled.
