Salary: up to £45,000 (DOE)

Contract: Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours per week)

We're supporting a highly respected organisation in Cambridge that's looking for a proactive, organised and people-centred Executive Assistant. This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys being the calm, capable anchor behind a busy CEO, keeping things moving, keeping communication clear, and keeping the wider team supported.

If you thrive in a small, collaborative environment where your contribution genuinely matters, this could be a fantastic next step.

You’ll be the CEO’s right hand, managing their diary, inbox, travel and day-to-day communications, while also supporting wider group administration. Your work will directly influence how smoothly the organisation operates, how well relationships are maintained, and how effectively the leadership team can focus on strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extensive diary management
  • Handling expenses
  • Supporting board travel, accommodation and event arrangements
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail, including confidential correspondence
  • Coordinating office services and supplier relationships
  • Arranging meetings, room bookings, agendas and refreshments
  • Providing HR administration support (holiday and sickness tracking)

Desired background

  • Experience supporting a CEO or senior leader with diary, mailbox and travel management
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills and meticulous record-keeping
  • A willingness to take on broader responsibilities when needed

About you

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Comfortable in a small, close-knit team
  • Driven by continuous improvement and doing things well

The Environment

You’ll be joining a team that values clarity, trust and steady, thoughtful progress. It’s a setting where people support each other, communication is open, and your role will be genuinely appreciated.
