Our well-earned reputation and the 35-year establishment in the trade allows us to provide the best customer service possible, including high quality materials at very competitive prices. The aim is to provide a supportive working environment where staff feel valued, satisfied and one that encourages progression within the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in processing sales and serving customers.
- Assisting transport operations to plan the workload on a daily basis.
- Physically assisting in all aspects of the daily delivery operations if/when required.
- Assisting with annual DVLA licence checks, driver declaration forms and monitoring vehicle tracking activities and reports.
- Inputting data on a spreadsheet.
- Cash handling and operating a till.
- Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone.
- Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice.
- Taking a proactive approach to building material sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.
- Grasping the EPOS system to ensure the correct building products are processed on the system.
- Advising customers of products and general understanding of building products.
- Liaising with customers both over the phone and in person, taking orders, resolving issues, and offering product advice.
- Having some IT knowledge of using computer systems.
- Restocking products, maintaining stock levels and carrying out stock checks for audits.
- Using the EPOS system to process deliveries.
- Liaising with Yard Staff daily.
Trade Supplier Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English if required. Training to be delivered in the workplace, online portfolio.
Working hours are from 7:30am to 5:00pm, operating 7 days a week, which will include probably alternate weekends.
