We’re looking for an organised and detail‑focused People Administrator to join our People Operations team. This is a fantastic entry‑level opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in HR, offering exposure to a broad range of people‑related activities in a supportive and collaborative environment. In this role, you’ll support the day‑to‑day running of People Operations, helping to manage employee data, respond to HR queries, and ensure a smooth, positive experience across the full employee lifecycle.
You’ll work closely with People Advisors and partner teams, gaining hands‑on experience across EMEA and APAC and building a strong foundation for your future in HR. This is a hybrid position from our Cambridge office.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll act as the first point of contact for everyday HR policy and process queries via our HR ticketing system, providing timely and professional support to employees and managers.
- Your role will span the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing onboarding documentation and supporting background and right‑to‑work checks.
- Processing background checks for both EMEA and APAC regions.
- Maintaining accurate employee records in Workday, with a strong focus on data quality and GDPR compliance.
- Monitoring employee absence data and flagging trends or concerns to the People team.
- Drafting standard HR letters and documentation, including probation, performance, and leaver letters.
- Supporting monthly payroll processes by collating and checking employee data.
- Managing employment references and associated documentation.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who brings strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in HR. You’ll be comfortable handling confidential information and motivated to learn and develop in a people‑focused role.
You’ll ideally have:
- Some previous experience in an administrative or HR support role.
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data and documents.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- A professional, discreet, and proactive approach.
- Experience using an HR system such as Workday would be an advantage, and a CIPD Level 3 qualification — or an interest in working towards one — is desirable.
Benefits:
- 23 days’ holiday + all public holidays, rising to 25 days after 2 years of service.
- Additional day off for your birthday.
- Private medical insurance which covers you, your cohabiting partner and children.
- Life insurance of 4 times your base salary.
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme.
- Enhanced family leave.
- Confidential Employee Assistance Program.
- Cycle to work scheme.
