As a Principal Cyber Analyst, you will be tasked with visualising and communicating how Darktrace products have positively impacted our clients’ businesses. You will be in the thick of the action, analysing technical data to identify potential cyber threats and give our clients the peace of mind that they are protected by Darktrace’s suite of products. This position is based out of our Cambridge or London Office, with expected attendance of 2 days a week.

What will I be doing

  • Use the Darktrace suite of products to prepare and present a variety of customer-facing reports.
  • Investigate and communicate critical information about potential threats, ongoing compromises, and retrospective analysis of incidents internally and externally to clients.
  • Real-time analysis of emerging threats in the SOC team.
  • Confidently represent Analyst work and cyber security principles both internally and externally as required.
  • Lead customer facing engagements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert.
  • Proactively share knowledge to mentor and guide junior professionals.
  • Contribute to impactful projects that require an understanding of the wider business.
  • Collaborate with a broad internal network to influence a variety of stakeholders at an operational level.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement.

This is a fast-paced role, so you need to make sure you're an organised, pro‑active individual who is adaptable to change and comfortable wearing multiple hats.

What experience do I need

  • Have previous experience in a Cyber, Research, Intelligence or Analysis role.
  • Deep technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies.
  • Be a team player with demonstrable aptitude at sharing knowledge and mentoring.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, with strong proven analytical and time management skills.
  • Have excellent communication skills, including both oral and written.
  • Be a strong tactical decision‑maker, handling unforeseen issues and complex decisions.
