In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, and optimized for performance, collaborating closely with development teams to deliver secure and efficient solutions.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure infrastructure meets their requirements while promoting scalable application practices.
- Utilise expertise in container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) to facilitate seamless deployment of applications, prioritising reliability, observability, and performance.
- Stay current with the latest technologies, introduce innovative solutions, and address operational challenges through strategic automation and optimisation.
- Support the deployment and scaling of our global cloud applications.
- Advise development teams on optimizing the use of public cloud resources.
- Support new applications as they transition to production.
- Essential skills in scripting or application development, with proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation and with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Strong understanding of basic networking and security principles, and ability to methodically solve problems and analyse patterns in behaviour and logs.
- Experience with continuous integration systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins.
- Proficiency in working with source control.
- Strong communication skills.
