Role Overview

As a Senior Cyber Analyst, you will investigate cyber operations, analyze technical data, provide bespoke consultancy to customers, and mentor junior team members. This hybrid role requires attendance in the Cambridge office at least two days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate alerts and network traffic using the Darktrace platform and supporting tools, producing technical customer‑facing reports.
  • Assess risks and implement straightforward security measures.
  • Identify threat trends and investigate campaigns across customer environments.
  • Answer basic to complex customer questions via email or chat with clear, concise responses.
  • Proactively engage with team members to discuss strategies and objectives.
  • Create checklists to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Speak credibly on cybersecurity topics and share knowledge internally and externally through technical blog posts.
  • Represent analyst work and cybersecurity principles confidently in customer‑facing engagements.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments and trends in cybersecurity.
  • Become a technical expert for customer engagements, sharing best practices and supporting adoption of the Darktrace platform.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.
  • Maintain the highest standards of customer and business data security.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Intermediate to advanced information security knowledge and experience following procedures during security breaches.
  • Understanding of security measures and AI enhancements integrated within Darktrace core products.
  • Proven analytical and pattern‑recognition skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Problem‑solving ability to break down tasks, gather data and apply practical solutions.
  • Strong time‑management and organisation skills to meet deadlines.
  • Goal‑orientation and ability to set objectives aligned with team goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective active listening skills for engaging with team members and customers.
