We are looking for a Web Designer to own and evolve the design experience and visual storytelling of Darktrace.com. This role is hybrid with a minimum of 2 days a week in our London office.
What will I be doing:As the Web Designer, you will create elegant, engaging and informative designs and collaborate with developers and content teams to create exceptional digital experiences that demonstrate how our AI cybersecurity technology delivers positive security outcomes for our customers. This role blends creative storytelling, systemized design thinking, and hands-on execution in a fast-moving digital environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for:
- Designing new templates, layouts, and content blocks that support marketing and product storytelling,
- Creating and optimising visual assets, including static graphics, icons, and motion,
- Owning and maintaining our design system across Figma and Webflow, ensuring consistency and scalability across pages and components,
- Working closely with our Brand Marketing team to maintain and evolve dedicated web brand guidelines, ensuring all digital work aligns with Darktrace's visual identity,
- Working closely with our Web Developers to ensure smooth implementation of designs and animations,
- Supporting UX improvements including responsive design,
- Collaborating with content and campaign teams to design high-impact landing experiences with clear goals,
- Maintaining clear documentation for future scalability.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in web and digital design, who brings expertise in Figma and is highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects for creating Lottie animations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web platforms, CMSs, and DXPs, with experience in Webflow or a similar tool, and a willingness to learn quickly. Additionally, you should demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of UX, accessibility, and responsive design best practices,
- Familiarity with motion and interaction design,
- Experience with Rive, GSAP, and/or WebGL,
- Strong collaboration skills and an ability to translate complex ideas into elegant visual design,
- A willingness to be pragmatic where the occasion requires, with a strong focus on business outcomes,
- The ability to comfortably blend creativity with system thinking,
- An AI-first mentality, staying on top of the evolving possibilities of design tools and web storytelling.
