Due to growth in our Renewables Department, we currently have an excellent career opportunity for a talented Electrical Engineer to join us. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead PV Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team. This is a hands-on leadership role for a fully qualified electrician with strong solar PV experience, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to lead installation teams on commercial and domestic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage solar PV installation teams on-site
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of PV systems
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Support project planning and problem solving on-site
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and suppliers
- Maintain compliance with electrical and industry regulations
- Carry out annual PV/EESS services and maintenance
Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience in solar PV installations
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
- ECS/CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Working at heights
