Role Purpose

Dark Matter is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to lead the end-to-end operational delivery of our client marketing campaigns and internal initiatives. In this role, you will own project planning, resource allocation, budget tracking, and support with the production of content through the business. You maintain the operational rigour of the consultancy, ensuring teams stay aligned, deadlines are met, and projects meet the strategy set by the strategic and creative leads.

Core Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

  • End-to-End Governance: Oversee the planning, execution, tracking, and closure of multi-channel projects and client campaigns.
  • Documentation & Scheduling: Create and maintain project plans, scopes of work, timelines, status reports, and resource allocation plans.
  • Briefing & Task Management: Brief internal and external resources, setting clear objectives, expectations, and deadlines for every deliverable.
  • Cross-Team Alignment: Foster communication between strategy, research, creative, and technical teams to maintain momentum and resolve bottlenecks.

Budget & Financial Operations

  • Financial Tracking: Monitor, update, and manage individual project budgets to ensure profitability and prevent scope creep.
  • Cost Allocation: Ensure project costs, supplier invoices, and receipts are accurately coded and reconciled in our accounting software.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify financial or timeline risks and implement corrective actions before they impact scope or margin.

Client Account Management

  • Client Communications: Act as a main point of contact for project status, leading regular status calls, reporting, and timeline updates.
  • Consultative Approach: Build strong client relationships by understanding industry challenges, their business context and project objectives.
  • Campaign Performance: Track performance metrics across platforms and compile clear wrap-up reports to optimise campaign effectiveness.

Skills

  • Organisation: Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: The ability to communicate with the team, suppliers and clients in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Adaptability: Being able to adapt to new tools, production environments and evolving client needs.
  • Attention to Detail
  • Attitude: A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a \"can-do\" approach to supporting the team
