Position Overview

Welcome to Darjeeling Express. We are searching for a friendly, skilled and energetic Food Expeditor to join our team in one of the UK’s leading Indian Bengali restaurant brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the crucial link between the kitchen and the front‑of‑house team, ensuring all dishes are prepared accurately, presented beautifully, and delivered promptly to our guests.
  • Manage the flow of orders and maintain clear communication between chefs, food runners, waiters and bartenders.
  • Verify that each plate meets the restaurant’s quality and presentation standards before it leaves the kitchen.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking ability, and the ability to stay organized and calm under pressure.
  • Self‑starter with a hands‑on approach to tasks.
  • Experience in a similar role with at least 2 years in fine dining, Michelin‑starred, and busy venues.
  • Passion for delivering friendly and professional service.
  • Pride in organization, quality control, time management, inventory control, health and safety compliance, and adaptability to menu modifications (special requests and allergens management).
