We’re excited to have an opportunity for an inspiring teacher to join our team. We’re looking for someone who loves working with 11-13 year olds, and as part of a professional team; someone who shares our vision and brings energy to work hard towards it.
Te Kura Tuarua o Tawera / Darfield High School serves a huge rural rohe from the Southern Alps to near the city, between the Waimakariri and Rakaia rivers. As urban Selwyn spreads west, our roll will grow substantially. Being the only secondary school in our kāhui means we aim to meet the needs and aspirations of all of our students. We currently have 840 students, years 7 - 13, who are mostly very well supported from home and well connected to their school; some need us to adapt our practice to meet their needs.
Terms and conditions of employment are covered under the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
Please note this position is also listed under Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura sector.
