The Opportunity
Our client is a highly corporateinternational energy company committed to long-term value creation in a low-carbon future. The role of a Security Officer is highly respected and will become part of the core Security team.
You will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, and be an integral part of the security team.
Your duties include (but are not limited to):
- To be able to deal with the emergency situations as they arise.
- Works to laid down guidelines although job calls for initiative as may have to react immediately to unusual occurrences without time to refer to a higher authority.
- To perform duties anywhere throughout the site in all prevailing conditions, both inside and outside buildings.
- To remain alert at all times to maintain the site’s integrity.
- Ensures Security Office is maintained in a state of continual operational readiness.
- Control of all entrances of vehicles, visitors, and contractors to site.
- Implement all instructions as detailed in the AI’s Procedures.
- Control the issue and return / retrieval of keys.
- Provide telephone support service during and out-with normal working hours.
- Patrol the site during day working hours as directed by Site Supervisor.
- Patrol site out-with normal working hours as duties permit.
- Operate two-way radio systems as required.
Full in-house training will be provided.

- Valid SIA Licence
- Right to work in the UK and a five-year checkable history
- Punctual and reliable

- Knowledge of the MS packages (excel, word, outlook)
- Highly intuitive with a curious mindset
