DarcyBrook is looking to recruit SAP Business Systems Lead for a leading Manufacturing company based in Dorset. This role will make SAP Business One work as one connected system for the whole business, from the moment a product or project is set up to the moment it is invoiced and paid.
The successful candidate will review how SAP was set up and how it is used today, redesign the processes and configuration so that information is entered once, correctly, at the start, and then own the system going forward so it stays that way.
Scope
- The role covers the full flow of a job through the business, in this order of priority:
- Master data: items, components, bills of materials, pack sizes, units of measure, customers and suppliers.
- Project setup: how projects are created, numbered and linked across sales and purchasing.
- Sales: quotes, blanket agreements, sales orders and proformas.
- Purchasing: supplier quotes, purchase orders and goods receipt.
- Production: production orders and the movement of components and finished goods.
- Warehouse: stock locations, transfers between sites, picking and dispatch.
- Logistics: shipping documents and delivery confirmation.
- Finance: customer invoicing, supplier invoice matching and reporting.
Essential experience
- Significant hands-on experience with SAP Business One in a manufacturing, distribution or supply chain business.
- Proven experience reviewing and fixing an existing SAP Business One implementation, not only running one.
- Strong understanding of how the full flow connects: master data, sales, purchasing, production, stock and finance.
- Experience setting master data standards, including items, bills of materials and units of measure.
- Experience configuring SAP Business One, or specifying changes clearly for an implementation partner.
- Experience mapping processes and designing standard ways of working across several departments.
- Experience testing system changes with users and managing them through to adoption.
- Ability to explain SAP in plain language to people at every level, from the warehouse floor to the board.
