Darcy Brook Procurement & Supply chain are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator to manage the domestic and outbound shipments for an international business based in Poole.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, book, and manage international shipments (road/air/rail/sea) from dispatch through to final delivery.
- Plan, book, and manage domestic deliveries (parcel, pallet networks, LTL/FTL) from warehouse to customer/DC.
- Coordinate daily dispatch priorities with warehouse operations to meet ship windows and customer requirements.
- Book freight with forwarders and carriers; select modes and services aligned to required lead times and cost.
- Prepare and validate relevant documentation in alignment with company compliance and domestic/international laws.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and forwarders to minimise and resolve hold and clearance delays.
- Track shipment milestones and proactively manage exceptions.
- Provide reliable ETAs and clear escalation for any risks impacting customer OTIF.
- Communicate any delays or issues to the supply chain team and work together to resolve.
- Maintain accurate records, costs, and references within SAP
- Support with tracking of carrier performance.
- Manage domestic claims, POD retrieval, returns coordination, and corrective actions, escalate when appropriate.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dispatch environment with changing daily priorities
- Experience managing accurate scheduling vs customer demand
- Understanding and capability of balancing service, risk, and total landed cost.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management.

- Strong practical experience with international and domestic outbound freight, and associated broker/forwarder coordination.
- Solid knowledge of trade compliance, customs processes, and documentation accuracy.
