We are recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor to join a busy groundworks and civils package in Murton, County Durham. This is a hands-on freelance role on a live site, ideal for someone who is confident leading operatives, maintaining standards, and keeping works moving safely and in line with programme. This Site Supervisor position is on an early-stage project with a secured pipeline of work for at least 6 months and strong potential for longer-term continuity. You will be very much feet on the ground, managing labour, briefing teams and ensuring works are delivered to the required drawings and specification.
The Role
- Supervise day-to-day site operations across groundworks and civils activities
- Organise and direct operatives each morning
- Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings and specification
- Deliver toolbox talks and daily site briefings
- Monitor productivity, quality and safe working practices
- Support progress across your designated work area
- Work closely with site management to keep works on programme
- Oversee an area of works with around 20 operatives, depending on assignment
