The Role

We are looking for an experienced Blind Installer to work on a live high-rise apartment development in Manchester.

The project involves the installation of approximately 245 curtains and tracks throughout the development.

This is a short-term, 5-day contract including site induction, paying £230 per day CIS.

Candidates with previous blind/curtain installation experience are preferred, although experienced carpenters with the right fixing and installation background will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Installing curtains and curtain tracks throughout apartments
  • Completing approximately 245 curtain and track installations across the project
  • Measuring, positioning and securely fixing tracks
  • Fixing into plasterboard and timber
  • Using basic hand and power tools safely
  • Working efficiently to the project installation programme
  • Maintaining a good standard of workmanship and finish
  • Following site health & safety requirements
  • Working within an occupied/live construction site environment

Requirements

  • Valid CSCS card
  • Previous blind, curtain or track installation experience preferred
  • Alternatively, a strong carpentry/joinery background with relevant installation experience
  • Confident fixing into plasterboard and timber
  • Competent using basic power tools
  • Able to work independently and maintain a good installation pace
  • Available for the full 5-day project from 24 August
