We are looking for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join a major groundworks and civils project in Merton. This is a site-based freelance role on an early-stage transformer station package valued at around £25m, offering a minimum of 6 months’ work with strong potential to extend.

This Temporary Works Coordinator role will take ownership of temporary works coordination on site, ensuring procedures are followed, the temporary works register is kept up to date, and all works are implemented safely and in line with design.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the temporary works register
  • Coordinate and monitor temporary works across site
  • Ensure temporary works procedures are followed by site teams
  • Liaise with management and safety teams on compliance
  • Oversee the safe implementation of temporary works designs
  • Monitor trench shoring, excavation support and shoring
  • Oversee batters and temporary excavation measures
  • Coordinate formwork for slabs and walls
  • Act as the main on-site contact for temporary works matters
  • Support the wider management team with planning and practical input
