This is a fast-paced site with plenty of autonomy — ideal for a proactive Health & Safety Advisor who’s confident operating across all levels, from operatives to senior stakeholders.

The Role

As the on-site H&S lead, you’ll drive compliance, embed positive behaviours, and keep works on track in a multi-contractor setting, with a strong focus on CDM and practical risk management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead health & safety across a multi-contractor refurbishment project in a live environment
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance checks; report findings and close out actions
  • Produce/review RAMS, risk assessments and method statements and support safe systems of work
  • Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and engagement sessions to improve on-site behaviours
  • Support site leadership and liaise with stakeholders to maintain standards and performance
  • Investigate incidents/near misses and implement robust corrective and preventative actions
  • Maintain clear site documentation and use IT systems to track actions and compliance evidence
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a construction/refurbishment-focused H&S role (over 7 years’ CDM experience)
  • NEBOSH qualified (General Certificate minimum)
  • Solid working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 (client-side / live-site experience desirable)
  • IT literate (confident with reporting, trackers, MS Office and digital H&S systems)
  • Excellent communicator — able to influence, coach and challenge unsafe behaviours at all levels
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-compliance environment with multiple contractors
What’s on Offer
  • £300 per day (dependent on experience/tax status)
