The Role

DARA People are recruiting for an experienced Earthworks Site Manager to take the lead on a large bulk earthworks project near Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is a Number 1 Site Manager position, suited to someone with strong earthworks, civils and site leadership experience. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating labour and plant, maintaining health and safety standards, and keeping the project moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Taking full control of daily site operations on a bulk earthworks project
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors, labour and plant
  • Coordinating muck shifting, earthmoving and associated civils works
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
  • Managing site logistics, access, traffic management and deliveries
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and site organisation
  • Holding daily briefings, toolbox talks and site meetings
  • Liaising with the client, project team and senior management
  • Monitoring progress and reporting any issues or delays
  • Ensuring all works are carried out in line with site procedures and regulations
