We’re looking for a hands-on Health & Safety Advisor to support a major internal refurbishment project within a live logistics environment in Camborne. This is a site-based freelance role working via a consultancy on a client-side project for a major global brand.

You’ll take the lead on day-to-day H&S across a fast-paced, multi-contractor refurbishment programme, helping site teams maintain compliance, drive safe behaviours, and keep works progressing in a live operational setting. This role will suit someone confident on site, strong on CDM, and comfortable influencing everyone from operatives and subcontractors through to senior stakeholders.

  • Lead health and safety activity on a live refurbishment project involving multiple contractors
  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and compliance checks, then report findings and drive close-out actions
  • Review and support RAMS, risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
  • Deliver toolbox talks, site briefings, and behavioural safety engagement sessions
  • Liaise with contractors, consultancy teams, and client-side stakeholders to maintain standards
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, trackers, reports, and compliance evidence using digital systems

Proven experience in a construction or refurbishment-focused Health & Safety role is required. Candidates should be NEBOSH qualified, with General Certificate minimum, and confident reviewing RAMS, risk assessments, method statements, and site compliance documentation. Strong IT skills, including reporting, trackers, MS Office, and digital H&S systems are essential.

This role is likely to suit Health & Safety Advisors, HSE Advisors, CDM Advisors, Construction Safety Advisors, or Site Safety Advisors who have worked in refurbishment and fit-out contractors, principal contractors delivering occupied-site works, and industrial, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
