The Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team and support the delivery of a range of high-profile urban design and masterplanning projects in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.

This is a full-time position based in Central London , ideal for a talented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience in urban design and masterplanning within a relevant consultancy environment. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in shaping the growth of the practice.

You will work closely with the Urban Initiatives leadership team to manage large-scale masterplanning projects, with a strong focus on client engagement, team coordination, and delivery. The role involves overseas travel , predominantly to the Middle East and Africa.

About You

To be considered for the role, you should demonstrate:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale masterplanning projects, particularly in the Middle East and/or Africa
  • A creative and strategic approach to urban design and masterplanning
  • Strong organisational and project management skills , with attention to detail
  • Excellent client-facing skills , including communication, presentation, and report writing
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset, with initiative and leadership skills

In addition, the ideal candidate will:

  • Share our passion for great urban places and align with our practice ethos
  • Possess strong people management skills and experience overseeing project initiation, sub-consultants, budgets, and programmes
  • Be proficient in relevant software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD / Civil3D, SketchUp, and ArcGIS
