Daphne is a FinTech SaaS platform, incubated by Apollo Global Management and Motive Partners. Daphne is on a mission to transform the fundraising process for private markets (e.g., Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate) by streamlining product information transmission from asset managers to their distribution partners. Daphne gives asset managers the tools to get their fund product data in a standardized format and easily manage the transmission of the data to their distribution partners.
We are seeking a business and customer minded individual to join our team as a Business Analyst in London. The primary responsibility of this business analyst will be the rapid onboarding of fund data into Daphne’s product master from various data sources across PDFs, excel files and other client databases. This role has a customer facing element and we need someone who is comfortable working with data but also being able to spend time with non-technical people from the customer side, understand their requirements and turn it into product improvements.
We expect this person to drive process improvement and bring innovation to the data ingestion process. Over time we will deploy AI to facilitate the extraction of data and we will need someone who can learn new systems and approaches to be able to work with them. Being an early‑stage business this person will get a lot of ownership of this process and has the ability to shape it. This will also create growth opportunities for the person.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business acumen, data proficiency, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Data Updates: Get fund data from relevant upstream sources and ensure Daphne is kept up to date with the latest information.
- Business Process Evaluation: Evaluate current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders of the client organization to understand their needs.
- Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process maps to guide development and implementation efforts.
- Training and Support: Assist in developing training materials and providing training and support to end users to facilitate successful adoption of new processes or systems.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in a technology‑driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Knowledge of basic data analysis tools including advanced Excel functions, pivot tables, Word and PowerPoint.
- Basic working knowledge of SQL is a major plus.
- Some background in finance is a plus.
- Some customer facing experience is a plus.
