We're looking for a driven and people-focused Transport First Line Manager to join our busy and fast-moving operation. In this pivotal role, you'll lead daily transport activities, ensure compliance and operational excellence, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver outstanding results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- - To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
- - Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse team
- - To lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development
- - Carrying out HR Management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management and disciplinaries
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- - Proven people management experience within a supply chain environment, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
- - Previous experience working within a transport office or wider supply chain operation
- - Strong understanding of working within a unionised environment and building positive working relationships
- - Competent in Microsoft Office applications; experience using Tachomaster is desirable
- - Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to embrace change and support the implementation of new processes and ways of working
