Danum Windows Ltd has been designing, manufacturing & installing aluminium windows, curtain walling and entrance doors for over 35 years. We are involved in new build and refurbishment projects across the UK. The projects that we are involved with typically incorporate some level of complexity that require a thorough knowledge of aluminium systems; their performance capabilities, their suitability for different types of projects, the applicable estimating & design software and current building regulations.

The role of Senior Estimator is suitable for an individual capable of providing well presented, accurate & timely quotations, cost plans and budgets for our Main Contractor customers, budgets to PQS companies and technical and design assistance to Architects. The role will include liaising with the Contracts Department and the Estimating Department. You will be based in the Estimating office as a senior member to assist with tender bids.

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: Available upon request
  • Working hours: Mon to Thu 8:30am to 5:00pm, Fri 8:30am to 4:00pm
  • Job Location: Doncaster DN12 1ER
  • Pay: Monthly
  • Pay Reviews: 6 months
  • Experience: Minimum 5 Years experience in the commercial glazing market
  • Location: Danum Windows Ltd / Broomhouse Lane, Edlington, Doncaster DN12 1ER
  • Company vehicle: No, however use of company pool car for meetings (if required)
  • Pensions: Yes, non-contributory pension scheme in place, in accordance with the Workplace Pensions Regulator
  • System & Software Knowledge (but not essential): Technal, Senior, Reynaers. The successful candidate will be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft; Word, Outlook and Excel. Training of system programmes will be provided.
  • References: Minimum of three work references required

Key Skills:

  • Use of Logikal and Tech-Design estimating software (not essential, training will be provided in-house and with the System suppliers).
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings (plans, elevations, sections)
  • Ability to plan and schedule work.
  • Must have a strong level of numeracy.
