Groups & Reservations Executive – (Maternity, 9 Months Fixed Term) About the Danubius Hotel Regents Park We are a 370-bedroom hotel located in central London with a difference. Located by three iconic London Landmarks: Lords Cricket Ground, Regents Park and London Zoo. Situated in St Johns Wood, we pride ourselves in offering a real home from home for business and leisure travellers alike. About the role We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Groups & Reservations Executive to join our Sales & Marketing Team on Maternity cover. Reporting into the Reservations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Groups & Reservations function in both day-to-day operations and taking ownership for co-ordination and facilitation of group bookings and reservations for the business. Responsibilities Building a positive business relationship with customers, actively seeking feedback and conducting customer show arounds, communicating needs to other departments as necessary. Responding to all groups & reservations enquiries to provide accurate information by mailing out brochures, tariffs and address queries as appropriate. Negotiating rates with customers, with assistance from the Reservations Supervisor. Responding to customer comments and complaints, seeking Managers support where necessary. Ensuring accuracy of all statistical data, charges to customer accounts, completing weekly function sheets and reports ready for distributing to departments. Through built up product knowledge, be able to offer an alternative (i.e., date, type of space) if we cannot provide what our caller requires. Ensure that all enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and pleasant manner. Checking all correspondence in connection with reservations and dealing with them accordingly to reflect any changes or cancellations whilst always maintaining the filing system. Build relationships with clients and ensure unrivalled service and opportunity to gain repeat business, working in accordance with the overall commercial strategy. Monday to Friday working with some weekends where required. Salary & benefits Full-time position – 9 Months Fixed Term – (37.5 hours per week) Salary from £28,435.06 pa (£14.58 per hour) Pro-Rated for the duration of the contract Meals on Duty Pension scheme with enhanced 6% Employer contributions Uniform laundry service Discount travel program in Danubius hotels including Friends & Family discount Candidate requirements Essential : Previous experience working with Opera or in a Reservations role Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate with all levels of organisation Great verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage own workload Under the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, evidence of eligibility to work and live in the UK will be required should you be invited to attend an interview.
