Located in St Johns Wood opposite Lord’s Cricket Ground, Danubius Hotel Regents Park is a central London hotel with a difference. We pride ourselves in offering a real home from home for business and leisure travellers alike. We are a 4 Star hotel with 355 bedrooms including 10 Suites.
Conveniently located a mere 10-minute walk from St John\’s Wood and Baker Street tube stations. The hotel is also situated near key railway stations: Marylebone, Paddington and King\’s Cross St. Pancras with direct links to Heathrow Airport.
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our on-site team to ensure the highest level of health and safety is delivered across our hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols in fire safety, food safety, crisis management, occupational health, security, environmental and disability compliance, while fostering a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
What you will do
- In collaboration with the General Manager and management team define and deliver the Danubius Hotel Regents Park H&S strategy.
- Undertake regular inspections of the property based on company health and safety and legal compliance.
- Develop and review safety and security action plans for the Hotel.
- Ensure internal risk assessment and hazard analysis processes are carried out fully and regularly reviewed for the Hotel.
- Offer advice to Hotel Management on issues related to Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety, Fire Safety, Disability Compliance, and any other related Environmental Health issues such as noise complaints as within the remit of the Safety & Security Department.
- Assist Hotel Management in the implementation of procedures, policies and processes to include new or modified UK regulatory requirements.
- Assist Hotel Management on public/employee liability claims handling to minimise costs.
- Lead the H&S training program to ensure employees complete the required H&S training at induction and regular periods, covering health and safety, fire safety, food safety and disability compliance.
- Liaise with relevant enforcement authorities on safety matters.
- Develop and oversee KPIs and metrics to monitor H&S performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide proactive guidance, support and practical expertise on all H&S matters required to promote a positive and engaged H&S culture across our hotel.
- Manage effective partnerships with all Heads of Department.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of new or revised local legislation and current guidance, and ensure personal professional development is maintained.
- Work with externally appointed H&S consultants to ensure all annual risk assessments are completed; Fire, Legionella and Asbestos and action plans are developed to address highlighted risks.
- Report to the General Manager and all internal stakeholders regarding health & safety issues and statistics.
Under the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, evidence of eligibility to work and live in the UK will be required should you be invited to attend an interview.

- Skilled presenter & trainer at all levels of the organisation, including senior stakeholders.
- Language skills: Fluent English written and spoken
- Computer skills: good knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
- High energy and enthusiastic personality.
