Then you might be our new 1st line Financial Crime Customer Risk Rating Risk Model Specialist. Danske Bank is searching for a Senior Customer Risk Rating Model Specialist to join the 1st line Financial Crime function at its HQ in Copenhagen or in Stockholm, London or Warsaw offices where you will report directly to Alexandra Schröder, in the 1st line Financial Crime Customer Risk Rating team.
This is a business-wide position that will support with the Customer Risk Rating Model implementation and development. The team is part of the 1st line of Defence Financial Crime area, and you will have a significant cross-functional role where you will:
- Support in the design, document and development of risk factors in terms of updating thresholds, including additional factors into the methodology, as well as assessing existing factors and thresholds to ensure that these are adequate on an ongoing basis.
- Conduct in-depth impact assessments where updates are made to the Customer Risk Rating Model (“CRRM”) and taking these through relevant governance to seek endorsement and/or approval.
- Ensure CRRM alignment to Danske Bank’s internal Financial Crime Policies and Instructions by conducting gap analyses, requesting breaches or exemptions against identified gaps and making recommendations for updates to the risk factor design.
- Support with the closure of CRRM observations/findings, exemptions and breaches; Ensure that changes made in CRRM are adequately operationalised and implementation tracked with relevant stakeholders.
- Draft presentation decks and materials for forums and committees organized by the CRRM team which includes preparing, distributing, and archiving minutes from the meetings, cataloguing, tracking actions and requests as well as ensuring timely follow-up on pending actions with relevant stakeholders.
Additionally, the holder of this role will be comfortable discussing their position with senior stakeholders and be able to substantiate the updates made to the CRRM as well as ensuring that adequate audit trail is retained of all updates made, rationale behind them and approvals and endorsements received.

- You are a great communicator with solid organizational and prioritization skills to operate in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
- You can develop great relationships and possess excellent stakeholder management skills to collaborate and navigate a diverse group of stakeholders across the Nordics, UK, US, Ireland, Poland and Lithuania.
- Your professional competencies include: 5+ years’ experience in Financial Crime with extensive exposure to the calibration and development of risk scoring methodologies.
- Great verbal and written communication skills in English, as you will engage with our global organization daily and will be responsible for documenting updates to the risk factor design documentation and relevant Business Procedures.
- High proficiency with tools such as PowerPoint and Excel in terms of tailoring presentations to different audiences and working under tight deadlines to deliver high-quality work.
- Experience with advanced PowerPoint and Excel techniques and tools is a distinct advantage in meeting the expectations for this role.
- Great working knowledge in Financial Crime.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex problems and develop solutions with a cross functional team.
