We’re working with a leading hedge fund seeking a Trade Surveillance Consultant to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong trade surveillance experience, particularly using SMARTS, who can support the team in managing and closing alerts within a fast-paced trading environment. The role is 5 days in the office and offers a day rate of circa £600.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and close trade surveillance alerts in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Utilise SMARTS to monitor trading activity and identify potential market abuse scenarios.
- Conduct initial investigations and escalate suspicious activity where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation of alert reviews and outcomes.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Front Office teams to ensure effective surveillance coverage.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in Trade Surveillance within a hedge fund, asset manager, or private equity.
- Strong hands-on experience using SMARTS.
- Available to start within one month.
