Legal Counsel - Lloyds Syndicate in Slough

An international insurance business is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its growing Lloyd\’s platform. This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the strategic heartbeat of the business, shaping decisions, influencing outcomes, and acting as a trusted adviser on a wide range of legal and commercial issues.

You\’ll work at the centre of a fast-evolving Lloyd\’s operation, providing clear, commercially grounded advice on everything from product development and wordings to new initiatives and emerging risks. You\’ll take ownership of mid-level projects, support more complex programmes, and help senior leaders navigate legal challenges early. The work is varied, impactful, and highly visible across the business.

What you\’ll bring

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with Lloyd\’s or broader insurance market experience

• Strong technical capability, particularly around policy wordings, documentation, and regulatory matters

• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions

• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

• A pragmatic, commercially minded approach, balancing legal accuracy with business needs
