Legal Counsel - Wordings

Key Responsibilities

You will provide legal support on policy wordings, endorsements, and clauses, assisting underwriters with coverage interpretation and ensuring wordings remain accurate and up to date across the business.

Draft and review insurance agreements and key commercial documents, manage bespoke wording requests, and engage with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders as needed. Contribute to regulatory and governance initiatives, monitor market and claims developments, and advise on regulatory changes impacting the business.

Work closely with Claims, Compliance, Operations, and other teams to support wording improvements and maintain high-quality documentation.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction).
• Experience drafting and interpreting insurance policy wordings.
• Knowledge of multi-line commercial insurance desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaborative working skills.
