Vice President & Legal Counsel – Transaction Management
London (4 days a week)
One of Europe's leading investment banks is seeking to hire a lawyer and Vice President to join the Transaction Management team . This role will focus on supporting Debt Markets across the UK and EMEA, providing high-quality legal advice and transaction management expertise. This role does not sit within the central legal team, but sits within the business, providing legal services.
As part of a collaborative team and sitting within the business, you will take ownership of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documentation, supporting the origination team in structuring and executing syndicated loan transactions. You will act as a key point of contact for originators and internal stakeholders, while also liaising with syndicate members and external counsel to ensure successful transaction delivery. There will be some client facing activity, assisting with pitches, structuring deals exisiting loan portfolios.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally, you will have 5 – 8 years' PQE from a general banking team or leveraged finance team within a top law firm OR have worked within the business in a simlar role with another investment bank.
- Experience in using LMA documentation is a pre-requisite and those with investment grade or a restructuring background would be considered.
- Able to work in a highly dynamic environment with the trading floor and be client facing when required.
- Collaborative, commercial and with a solid legal understanding of the issues involved.
