Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel (1–3 years PQE) to join a fast-growing insurtech operating within the Lloyd’s market. This is a broad in-house legal role offering exposure to commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters within a modern and agile insurance business.

The Role

You will play a key role in providing legal and regulatory support across the organisation, working closely with stakeholders across underwriting, compliance, operations, and commercial functions. This is a varied and hands-on position that suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts including TOBAs, binding authority agreements, NDAs, LOAs, and supplier agreements.
• Advising on legal and regulatory matters across the business.
• Supporting corporate governance and intra-group projects.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of legal policies, frameworks, and processes.
• Assisting with corporate transactions and regulatory compliance initiatives.

About You

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 1–3 years’ PQE.
• Solid experience in commercial or corporate law, ideally from a reputable private practice or in-house team.
• Strong understanding of the Lloyd’s and London insurance market is essential.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic, and able to work independently when needed.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
