An established UK insurance business is hiring a Legal Counsel to join its in-house Governance team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice across the business, with a focus on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, advising on regulatory and data protection matters, managing external counsel, and supporting governance and board-level initiatives. The role also includes delivering legal training, monitoring regulatory developments, and supporting company secretarial matters.
About you:
- Qualified solicitor circa 3-8 years’ PQE
- Background in property / conveyancing, insurance or financial services
- Experience advising on regulatory frameworks including DORA desirable
- Commercial, practical and confident engaging with senior stakeholders
