The Opportunity
A leading international law firm is seeking a non-contentious insurance lawyer to join its growing London-based team. The successful candidate will be joining a highly regarded practice, recognised in the legal directories, and will work closely with colleagues across the wider financial services and regulatory groups.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer to develop their career in a dynamic environment with access to high-quality, complex work for a prestigious client base.
The Work
The team advises a broad spectrum of insurers, intermediaries, financial institutions and corporates on insurance-related matters. Work will include:
- Strategic partnership and bancassurance arrangements
- Drafting and negotiating distribution and outsourcing agreements
- Advising on retail and commercial product development
- FCA and PRA regulatory issues, including investigations and supervision projects
- Cross-border regulatory perimeter issues
- Reinsurance agreements (including captive programmes)
- Insurance business transfers
- Insurance sector M&A
The Candidate
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE in insurance law (non-contentious focus preferred)
- Strong technical ability combined with commercial awareness
- Enthusiastic about client development and maintaining long-term relationships
- Team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience in both life/wealth and general insurance products would be advantageous
