Director, Structured Finance Legal | London (Hybrid)
Danos Group is working with a leading global bank to hire a Director for its EMEA Derivatives & Structured Finance Legal team.
This is a hybrid role that will spend time on the trading floor. You'll be the main legal adviser to the Structured Financing Group. The work has great breadth with securitisation and derivatives alongside complex products including fund financing and insurance financing.
The role:
- Advise across the full transaction lifecycle, from structuring to execution
- Negotiate directly with counterparties and manage legal risk on multi-jurisdictional deals
- Support new product development and strategic business initiatives
- Oversee external and local counsel, managing legal costs effectively
- Deliver training to the business and mentor junior colleagues
You’ll bring:
- 10+ years' PQE, with structured finance experience from an international bank, a law firm securitisation practice, or both
- Strong knowledge of securitisation, derivatives, security and collateral arrangements and financial markets regulation
- Experience on cross-border transactions
- Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to work closely with front office
